The Toronto Raptors Blog with an Arsenal touch

Just win, baby!

Posted by Arsenalist on April 28, 2008

For all practical purposes this series is over, the chance of a Raptors series win is 1.69% since only 2 out of 118 teams have come back to win after taking a a 3-1 deficit on the road. I can also guarantee you that those two teams didn’t have a defense that could be broken down by a simple pump-fake at the three point line, nor did they get cold feet with less than 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter. However, it is what it is, the Raptors in a truly “must win” game. It’ll be a chance to see if this team finally leaves it all on the floor and plays with that passion, grittiness and intensity that’s been lacking all season. Desperate times call for desperate measures so if nothing else we’ll see which of these Raptors desperately wants to win.

Jamario Moon is good to go so the Raptors will be putting out the same lineup that’s kept them in it for two games in a row. The deciding factors will be the same as they have been all series, preventing their G/F’s from breaking us down and picking out shooters along with closing out said shooters when the defense does collapse. Boxing out Dwight Howard should be a no-brainer and a given but given how poorly the Raptors have covered him on the defensive boards in this series, it’s probably a good idea that Sam Mitchell make this priority #1 on the old blackboard. I think at this point in the series both teams know what they need to do to win and its a question of execution.

In the same article linked above Chris Bosh is quoted as saying:

“We can’t rely on three-pointers, that doesn’t get you [far] in the playoffs. We know that.”

It’s a nice enough thought but the three-pointer is what this team is built on, if they’re going in we’ll have a shot at winning but if we’re shooting them at less than 30%, we’re going to lose. Plain and simple. It’s not as if though we have any wing players that can drive the ball effectively if the chucks aren’t falling. Anthony Parker needs three screens to get anywhere, Delfino can drive but will he choose to is a different matter and Jamario Moon’s taken it to the rim once all series. Asking these guys to play inside-out is like asking a pitcher to play the DH. So the Raptors better hope their threes are falling because they don’t have anything else to fall back on.

To bust out a cliche from the old cliche vault, we got to take it one game at a time. Sam Mitchell expects to bring the series back to Toronto but doesn’t specify exactly how he might do that. He’s basically optimistic because he believes that the Magic’s lead in the series is mostly attributable to a few key shots. The man does have a point there but isn’t every NBA game decided by a few key shots. There’s nothing that’ll make me believe that we’re going to be the team that’s going to hit those “key shots”.

If you’re made it this far into the post you obviously think the Raptors have some chance of winning this game. Here’s your reward for being a loyal Raptors fan.

Apparently you can’t get Bill Simmons to watch the Raptors-Magic series:

I love hoops as much as anyone and still can’t bring myself to watch the Magic-Raptors series. It’s like the NIT of the NBA playoffs. Does the winner even matter? They should call it “The NBA-TV Invitational” and give the winner a trophy that’s sculpted into the shape of Rick Kamla’s face.

Haha funny-man. Now go fuck yourself. I hope pray that the Atlanta Hawks swallow a barrel full of Red Bull and beat his Celtics, it would almost make up for the Raptors. One man’s misery is another man’s joy and right now my joy is any man’s misery.

What are the chances we win the PG matchup in Game 5? You’d have to think Jose’s not going to stink it up again and will play with that Spanish passion that he only reserves for his wife (left). TJ Ford had a great game 4 which means he might just end up going 2-11 tonight, hopefully he can make life a little harder for Jameer Nelson and force Nelson to have a Game 3 type evening. I’m going to skip talking about Hedo/Lewis because we simply don’t have an answer for them. We can however neutralize Howard’s influence on the boards if we decide to take him seriously. While Rasho or Bargnani are on the floor all they should be concerned with is boxing out Howard – nothing else! I don’t care if Bargnani has 0 points and Rasho has 6 fouls, just KEEP. HOWARD. OFF. THE. GLASS. Please!

If we had given Andrea Bargnani’s minutes to Kris Humphries, this might’ve been a different series. Just consider Game 2 where a single rebound was the difference between 1-1 and 0-2. How many rebounds did Bargnani have in that game? 1.

It goes without saying that either Chris Bosh needs to have a monster evening or the bench must go for 45+. If one of the two don’t happen we’re doomed. I think Kapono will carry his weight, its going to be up to Carlos to have one of those nights where you might even entertain the thought of bringing him back next year. We haven’t seen much of Humphries, maybe he can give us something against Marcin Gortat (who scares the living shit out of Bosh)? Joey Graham might have an offensive arsenal that rivals Hoffa but he can still play some defense, I implore Sam to put him on Hedo or Rashard and see how far he gets. If they score on him, yank him but at least give him a shot. The man has the physical strength to fend off Hedo/Lewis, just test him out, he could be useful.

Realistically speaking, we got too many defensive problems and not enough fourth quarter offense to beat the Magic on the road. It’ll almost take a couple career nights from the Raptors or a seriously pathetic game from Orlando for us to win this one, but stranger things have happened. Haven’t they? I don’t know, its just another cliche I suppose.

Let’s just dig in on defense, try to move without the ball and knock down our perimeter jumpers and hopefully we can eek out a win and go from there. Who knows, maybe the Magic will come out complacent and cough one up at home. It’s too late to talk about technicalities and strategies, just win, baby!

Great cry to arms, Arsenic … but do the Raps have enough gas in their collective tanks to make much of a run at the Magic.. hmmmm ..??

Just heard a commentator on the NOH-Dallas game saying that some great NBA coach said that your three best scorers had better produce in the playoff or else you are going to lose .. and they had better produce more than the opposition’s three best too.

Now who are the Rap’s three best scorers .. Bosh, TJ/Jose, Kapono … and who else .. and how much are they good for…??? I think it’s a tad too late hoping that somebody else will step up in the playoffs and save your bacon..!!

BTW .. did you watch the NOH decimate Cuban’s Mavericks .. the NBA team with the biggest payroll some $105M ?? Somebody said the Mavs have only won 3 of 14 playoff games in the last three years … and if Cuban doesn’t blow up that team now, he won’t have fans coming out to watch .. because the Mavs fans made a mass exit with 5 minutes remaining on the game ..LOL

Man-o-man do the NOH look physically athletic .. and I doubt the Raptors could ever assemble a team like this considering that the Celtics seemingly have a lock on the Eastern conference for a couple more seasons. I think that offering Toronto fans an up-tempo Euro-ball style team that depends on high IQ ball movement and deadly shooting will be entertaining. Forget ‘winning’ or ‘contending’ and just hope the Raps can produce consistent bball for entertainment value.

    GO RATPORS …. GOOOOOOooooo …!!!!

Cuban should’ve blown that team up last year, I don’t know what he’s hanging on to beside Nowitzki. They’ve become a total jump shooting team and they’re not falling right now for Howard, Kidd or Terry. They dropped the ball on Gasol, panicked and traded for Kidd which made no sense. I think Cuban has too much say in their basketball operations, just let the GM do what he thinks is best.

David West is a beast, he’s the ideal type of player I’d like to see on the Raptors. That was some nice drafting by the Hornets:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_NBA_Draft#Round_one

I’m all for high IQ ball but in order to do that you have to have a coach with a crisp mind. Even then I think its going to be hard to implement that nice Euro/Princeton offense in the NBA since the defenders are so good, athletic and big. It’s one thing to back-door a no-name Euro guy or a college player but in the NBA you can only fool somebody so many times.

I missed yesterdays post and all of the comments, but I am sure you guys are money with your comments. I was too depressed to think about the Raps until this morning.

Couldn’t go to the game on Saturday, so I gave the tickets to my brother in law, he said the place was loud but I got the vibe from the TV that it wasnt as nuts as Thursday.

Defence, defence, defence. When we dont play it, we lose, simple. We all worried that sooner or later the Magic were going to start hitting there shots and they did.

The chances of us coming back to win 3 in a row, between none and zero.

What we lack is the killer instinct. Up by 5 at half, I was hoping that we’d come out in the third and put the Magic away with a run. You got these guys by the throat, put em away. But we let teams hang around, and I have no confidence in our ability to be decisive in the clutch.

I dont think anyone, including the Raptors head office, thought the Raps were going to go the Championship, or the eastern conference final, but I am sure that another first round loss will be considered an abject failure.

One thing I didnt get was, if Hedu was cold all day from the outside, and having a poor game, which he was, why not play off him and dare him to shoot a contested J? instead delfino and (parker) played him tight, got burnt off the dribble and let the guy get back in the game. I blame Smitch for that as much as anyone.

I look forward to everyones comments throughout the day.

I am so down as a result of these losers! I pay a small fortue to support the team and I they cant produce when the time comes. It pisses me off.

Arsenalist … perhaps this hoopshype article aggregating deserves a separate thread, but here goes:

    http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

    Sunday, April 27

The Mike D’Antoni job speculation is no surprise, considering the regression of this Suns team over the course of this series. What is more startling is to hear the voices in the locker room questioning their coach more than ever. It was one thing when D’Antoni (offense) and Steve Kerr (defense) were citing different roots for Phoenix’s problems Thursday. It’s another when the head coach begins to lose his players. “They play playoff basketball,” Suns power forward Amare Stoudemire said in admiration of the Spurs, a team about to eliminate him from the postseason for the fourth time in his career. ( Arizona Republic)

“It’s plain and simple. There’s no out-of-control plays. There’s no shooting the ball within the first seconds. They take their time and make sure they get a basket. They make sure they get a good shot every time down. And that’s how they win the title. You got to make sure you get a good shot every time down and you got to make sure you defend well. You can’t stop all teams from scoring. Teams are going to score but they make sure they play solid defense out there and they get a good shot offensively every time down and that’s how you win a title. “They’ve got a strategy that they uphold.” (Arizona Republic)

A gut-wrenching Game 1 loss swung on unthinkable moments. That led to a Game 2 meltdown and a Game 3 no-show for resiliency. It has solicited boos and speculation about D’Antoni’s job security. “It’s difficult to see him take heat,” Nash said. “We all really share the blame equally.” (Arizona Republic)

Seeing as the Phoenix Suns are down 3-0 to the defending champion Spurs – seeing as the rumours of Suns coach Mike D’Antoni’s imminent demise will probably persist – there will be reason for speculation that Mitchell might not be long for Toronto, if only because D’Antoni was hired by Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo after he worked under Raptors assistant GM Maurizio Gherardini in Italy. And who’s to say anything’s outlandish in a league in which coaches and GMs almost always see their teams differently? (Toronto Star)

Yesterday’s La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Mike D’Antoni could wind up in Toronto with former Suns exec Bryan Colangelo should Phoenix make him the designated scapegoat for its playoff failures and Sam Mitchell be fired by the Raptors. Both men have two years left on their deals. Money owed is a major concern or complication. Once alleged imperfections start to leak out in the local media, which is the case in both circumstances, time is about to expire. New (York Post)

The whispering campaign regarding Mitchell is supposedly he’s not a hard worker or on top of the league’s current events. A few months ago, before the Raptors were to play the Lakers, he addressed the team by telling them, “We’ll worry about the guy who got 81 in a second, but first I want to talk about Andrew Bynum and how he killed us last time.” A hush engulfed the locker room. “Hey, coach,” Chris Bosh interrupted. “Bynum’s been out for weeks with an injury.” (New York Post)

When I visited Phoenix for Shaq’s first game I heard several stories about management’s dissatisfaction with D’Antoni’s attention to detail and his failure to set rules, boundaries and limitations. Obviously, I’m watching dog trainer Cesar Milan too much. (New York Post)

Suns’ insiders compared D’Antoni to Paul Westphal in terms of not being a disciplinarian (specifically concerning Amare Stoudemire), recalling how he allowed pet Charles Barkley to do as he pleased. Last week D’Antoni’s easy going style (I love dealing with the guy) was being underlined by team sources to the local media as a detriment. And that was before the Suns lost convincingly at home in Game 3 in large part due to Parker’s 41 points and 12 assists, and fell behind the Spurs 0-3. (New York Post)

Can whatever ails the Suns be addressed by adding a new coach or subtracting players, or is what they really need a talk therapist? Even before Friday’s dispiriting defeat, D’Antoni was reading in the local papers that his job may be in jeopardy. “It does tick you off,” said D’Antoni, who is in his fifth year with the Suns. “I think I’m a big boy. I can handle it.” (New York Times)

The Raptors just do not have the talent and scoring at the foreward spots to consistently compete with Orlando, something Colangelo will have to improve in the off season.
For Rap’s to beat the Majic they must recieve large contributions from the bench, Kapono, Delfino, Calderon, Nesterovic, as the Magic are playing Turkoglu, Lewis, Howard, and Nelson big minutes and they are dominating Rap’s starters.

    Results from 4 games starters:

    F/C Toronto 172pts – Orlando 246pts
    PG/SG Toronto 90pts – Orlando 109pts
    Bench Toronto 146pts – Orlando 75pts
    Bosh 104pts – Howard 92pts
    Turkoglu/Lewis 154pts – Moon/Andrea/Rasho 68pts
    Nelson 73pts – Ford 44pts

FAQ, not since Barkley have the Suns been a legit playoff threat. Run ‘n gun is great to look at but doesn’t get you anything. Westphal, D’Antoni, Skiles and anybody else who’s come to run that team since the Barkley days has tried to play fast-break, quick-trigger basketball and its never been successful. At least Steve Kerr had the balls to recognize that and brought in Shaq, so the experiment failed. Big Deal.

    NO FUCKING WAY.

Are you serious? I mean are you serious?? I did not know that, if thats true and BC knows about it, Mitchell’s a gonner just based on this one incident.

As for D’Antoni being the head coach, no thanks. I hate this guy, he’s such a cocky little prick. He thinks he knows what he’s doing but if it weren’t for Steve Nash that team wouldn’t make the playoffs.

The Raptors need to hire Kevin O’Neil as an assistant to help out the defense and could hire Tom Thibodeau as the head coach. Just my two cents.

  10. Johnn19 said

Does anyone think MLSE is going to spend $13 million to fire coach Mitchell and hire a new coach. Fat chance! They would be far better off to spend the money on some players @ C, SF, and SG, who can play with some consistency, and help Bosh compete in next years playoffs.

    FAQ!! whazzzzzzzup!!!

I wanted to say something about that article as well (surprise surprise you did.. or not surprised at all I should say.. lol)

That Sam gaffe re: Drew has me speechless. I don’t even know what to say? Umm.. he was, like, you know.. testing them to see if THEY knew who’s on the roster..that’s all! Riiiight….

As the article(s) says, money is gonna be an issue here. We just gonna sweep that under the rug or what?

“7 seconds or less” coming to town will seriously bring my fandomship(?) to question. As DG said.. some of us pay our hard earned money to support this team, not to mention emotional investment.

Khandor… 7 seconds or less on your plate, Sir?

  12. arsenalist said

Johnn19, they could buy him out for a cheaper price? The Raptors have have fired practically every coach they’ve ever had so I don’t think its that big of a deal to can Mitchell. If BC can make a case to the board, then they’ll be OK with it. They love this guy there.

As mark said it doesn’t even matter who the coach is in PHX, they end up playing the same way. I think its the weather, its just too nice out to play defense and see through a 24 second shot clock. Too fucking long.

Before we decide on whether to fire Mitchell, might I remind every one that there is a game tonight and if by some sheer stroke of luck and planet alignment we manage to get a win, we could force Game 7. Am I being irrational again? Somebody slap me.

DG sounds very down and who can blame him, this is the series that we wanted and thanks to that Philly/Cleveland game fell in our lap and even then we weren’t able to devise a plan. DG, just take a step back and look at the teams though and just think about it, the Magic have us beat in every category save PG and even that they’re winning. We never had a chance.

  13. FLUXLAND said

Arse.. that’s why I was calling the sweep so early on and claiming D12 was going to be a monster avg. 20 rebounds per.

For the record (again) I’ve never been on the anti Jewels bandwagon.. the man is a great motivator, preaches D and rebounding. Just needs to figure out how to utilize his players to maximize their potential while doing what’s best for the team.

Also, I don’t know how many drastic changes we can make to compete in the East next season. Its looking like that conference won’t be a joke much longer. We can’t just hope for the other teams to be dysfunctional, again!

It’s going to take a miracle to win tonight, although they do happen, I’m just hoping we put up a fight and give us fans something to hang onto for the summer. I do not wanna see us lay down!

D’Antoni .. Messina .. Blatt …. so many good Euro-trained coaches to guide the Raptors of the future. David Stern desperately wants to expand the NBA into Europe and so do the NBA owners who would benefit financially with new franchises .. the greedy bastards that they are …!! I wouldn’t be surprised if NBA owners mysteriously gave up a few of their international players in trades with Toronto to make the Raptors a strong Euro-style team and thus promote Euro expansion.

Folks .. just forget Toronto having a ‘contending’ or ‘championship’ team for several decades if at all. There is no way the MLSE will spend $100 Million on player salaries to bring in all those big bad mommas from the USA to play on the Raptor team.

  16. FLUXLAND said

FAQ.. you know I hear you on this and see the NBA going this way. In fact, Stern said during one of the game over the weekend GLOBALIZATION is the no1 priority and goal.

However.. will the one on one mentality and style of play ever go away?
More often then not a seven game series come down to one on one matchups and stopping one guy. If we don’t have that can ever win a series? Running around like rats, as you say, may work for 3 and half qs but then its all about that one guy! Am i making sense?

  17. D G said

    Guys

    A few points:

I am down because I think we can compete on any given night, and thats what bothers me most. When the Raps hustled and played D with their feet, got position, closed out shooters, we were competitive. At other times, the Raps just play lazy d, without moving and watch guys get baskets. Same on offence, sometimes there is no motion on offence, how are we going to create if guys are standing around. Who’s fault is that? Both the players and the coaches, me thinks.

Flux, you are right about d. As a player you have to be committed to playing on both ends of the court. You have to be po’d when your guy beats you and be willing to bust your @ss to make sure it doesn’t happen. When you get beat, it means someone has to help, and then it becomes a scramble. We saw that at various times this series, and it seems like the Raps cant stop it. Which means they cant do what it takes or dont choose to. I think its been both depending on the players involved.

On paper before the series you would likely have said that they had an edge at the forwards, with Bosh and Howard canceling each other out. At the guard position we should have been better. So I think Bosh has probably been better, but call it a wash. There forwards have been better (especially since Andrea didnt step up offensively), and to be honest in the series, there guards have been better. So how can we expect to win? I should know better but I cant help myself. Even now some part of me is throwing away rationality and hoping for a miracle.

And for a guy who preaches “old school” defence and rebounding, Smitch’s team has been inconsistent at those two things. Not always bad, sometimes bad, but always inconsistent.

Can we win tonight, sure. Can we win three in a row. I dont think so. I hope I’m wrong but I think we’re done. Whether its tonight or Thursday, who knows.

As for the Dallas series, I’ll probably get killed for my next comment, but,…… Jason Kidd is overrated. (i’m ducking as I wait for things to be thrown at me) Not Lebron overrated, I mean for real. Is he a good point guard? Yes. Does he have hall of fame numbers? Yes. But when the Mavs made this trade, I said it wouldn’t help them get over the top. (Mind you I thought Shaq was going to make the Suns champs, so I know I’m not always right).

On the NBA in Europe, thats ridiculous. Maybe they can have a European NBA league, but how are teams from North America going to travel 7 hours, and play games at hours that there body will think are the middle of the night. Then spend a week or two out there and then fly 7 hours again to have your body clock screwed up again to play here. They might have a league out there one day, but I cant see how it works to try and have teams compete across continents.

Finally, why did we lose Saturday? Did we play really badly, I’d say not really. Orlando took this game from us in the 4th quarter because they had guys make clutch shots and they worked harder to win. Many of us could feel it coming, I know I did. At the beginning of the fourth I told my wife that we ahve seen this so many times this year, close game, Raps up at the beginning of the 4th, and we dont have the ability to close. Just like your buddy that goes to the bar and macks on all the girls, has them laughing and dancing, but doesnt get a number, and watches the girl leave with some other guy. He always has it in his hands but just cant close the deal. Thats the Raps.

BTW.. did you guys see that Dwayne Wade is dating Star Jones. Next time he comes to Toronto, I hope someone rushes the court and slaps him on principal. What a waste.

These were the 4 key Possessions of Game 4’s 4th Quarter …

    Orl 94, TOR 92

    2:07 Orl/Turkoglu 3Pt Shot: Made (over Parker) … Orl 97, TOR 92
1:48 TOR/Ford Layup Shot: Missed (blocked by Howard)
1:31 Orl/Lewis 3Pt Shot: Made (Nelson drove by Ford, kicked to Turkoglu who made the extra pass to Lewis) … Orl 100, TOR 92
1:27 Tor/Parker Driving Layup Shot: Missed

that sealed the Raptors’s fate …

which were then followed by these next 3 possessions the Raptors …

    1:17 Bosh 3Pt Shot: Missed
    1:06 Calderon 3Pt Shot: Missed
    0:50 Ford 3Pt Shot: Missed

when Toronto played the most important 2 minutes of its season with the following line-up on the floor:

    PG – Ford v Nelson
    OG – Calderon v Bogans
SF – Parker v Lewis (physical mis-match which favours Orlando)
PF – Kapono v Turkoglu (physical mis-match which favours Orlando)
    C – Bosh v Howard

The NBA game is about (#1) understanding, creating and THEN exploiting mis-match advantages which are in your team’s favour … especially during the last 6 minutes of important games; (#2) DEFENSE & REBOUNDING (getting stops when needed within the ebb & flow of the game); (#3) efficient Execution on Offense (i.e. which MEANS either A. set plays, or B. structured free-lancing, that generates open shots, AND then MAKING THEM when needed).

Orlando is better than Toronto. FULL STOP.

This is what I wrote on April 18:

we don’t play to win like the Magic or like ATL did last night.. we always play not to lose. Our whole concept is: get out to a great start and hope to maintain it, or dig a big whole to play catch up and come up short. We need to play 48 minutes straight with equal intensity ON BOTH ENDS all the way thru.

The thing about the Magic is that Howard is not going anywhere and we are gonna have to deal with him in the playoffs for time to come, if we continue making the show. We cannot expect Bosh to carry the scoring load AND wear down D12 at the other end..CB4 is not Superman..Batman maybe.. but he needs Robin from time to time.. who’s gonna be our Robin?

The Kidd trade will go down as one of the worst of all time.. you give up (basically.. some player were just details) 2 first round picks, Devin, Diop and 3 million for Kidd? .. who can’t shoot worth a damn and won’t work in your system? That was like slapping Nash in the face all over again. No brooms here, Sir.

And Shaq, too.. who does a 300 pound guy at the bottom of his career fit into 7 seconds or less I dunno.. then again.. I don’t get paid to make these calls. You ask me money as always was the issues. No way they were paying that contract in the MIA with Shaq sabotaging the team.. fans were not coming.. ppl were not buying jerseys. A change of address makes that happen. Ppl on PHX got suckered, bought the tickets bought the jerseys… contract paid.. staring at 1st round exit. Thank you very much, David Stern.

re: ballin in Europe .. I don’t think they would travel. But say they did.. doesn’t that Concord flight make it there in like 2 hours or something?

*last game… yeah it was all about no cajones in the 4th.

    HE’S BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! WOOT! WOOT!

    Nice kha-man!

“if Orlando mis-fires.” – this is what I think Sam was hoping for in those first two games when Arse was asking about the weird double teaming.. And wow did that ever blow up in his face!!

C’mon 7? Seriously? I hope to see it go that far.. we as fans need to see these guys are not doormats or stepping stones for what the Magic may become over the years.

I think we are in for an “after the bar I think Imma tought guy cuz I’m drunk” a** whoopin. Which would imply at least a fight.. and thats all I want.

    FLUX,

7 games was my original pick … cause I really do want the Raptors to play well, although to others it might not always seem like this.

Way it looks right now, though, SVG is certainly “… good enough to wrap it up in fewer.”

Sticking to your predictions. khandor.. I like it!

Optimism, as you may have picked upon, is not my forte.

Il Mago needs to reach in the bag of tricks (as does Sam) and pull a Copperfield type performance. I’m hoping he does. And can we please see some Hump out there… just for a bit..I know he has no O.. but just so his spirit is not crushed.

Is anyone buying this “Sam’s last game” stuff?

    Flux,

I’ll read the previous posts and comments, just didn’t have the heart this weekend.

In regards to the Suns and Shaq, for sure money and selling tickets was an issue, owners are in it to make money. And say what you like, Shaq is always a fan favorite, and even if he isnt playing he is cool to have around for quotes and antics. I dont think they would have won with the team they had, so I guess why not try with Shaq? I had high hopes for that team, but its looking pretty bleak.

In some ways I am looking forward to summer. No raptors or leafs to torture me.

D G… I hear ya! I’m not a baseball fan in any way.. (no offense to anyone).. maybe some hope there? GO BLUE JAYS I dunno…

I see what you are saying about the Diesel. And btw no knock on the guy as a person..he is all that you say he is. But he disappointed me as a player…and I really didn’t see how they were going to make anything happen with him. I was happy to see 12 pts 8rbs with 3min to go in the half yesterday tho.. thought he’d go for 20 and 15. Something has got to give down there this summer.

Cheer up, Raptorbrother! We go Mop Girl,no? YES! And did you see Arse’s present today? :)

Wow, I just saw the ‘reward’. Awesome stuff.

I get a sick feeling we’ll win tonight by playing great defense and Parker/Delfino going nuts. I think the Magic are going to have a letdown. I know that this team is ‘capable’ of beating the Magic if they play at a high level, tonight you’ll see that.

    I’m not crazy.
